Here is what the kindergarten building project is all about. I get the biggest kick out of spending time with these guys, lots of fun, lots of “Namaste Miss Maya”.

They have no games, toys or balls to play with. Their teacher, Bishnu, is limited to one set of flash cards, which they repeat by rote every day in a sing song unison chant.  A few stubby pencils to write in some very dog-eared writing pads which are falling apart – the same old 1, 2 ,3 or a, b, c repeated over and over again.

There is a rope swing tied to the rafters which after the rote repetition they get to take turns on.

Their current kindergarten is dark an empty and cold, great for photography, not so good otherwise. Planning on making the new kindergarten into one a big rainbow.
