It’s been a manic first few weeks arriving in Nepal with Rachel and Pasha, measuring up kids and getting school uniforms made for Uri school, painting Ghalel school, sports days, teaching, wedding celebrations, elections and more. With Rachel and Pasha’s departure back to the UK the mania has calmed. Now the days’ routine is a regular 45 minute walk downhill to school in Uri, teaching, taking tea at various village homes, climbing back up to Kot Danda, Little Paradise, home of Manoj, Man Prasad and Mina who take such good care of me.
Little Paradise is perched on the top of Kot Danda (hill in the foreground) towered over by Annapurna South (23,684 ft), Annapurna II (26,040 ft), Hiunchuli (21,146 ft) and Machapuchare (22,943 ft). In this picture I am living on the top of the little dark hill with Annapurna snow capped peaks to wake up to.
It is quiet, off the beaten track except for the occasional trekkers. A working farm with a whole range of crops, 2 cows, chickens and a couple of dogs. More on this later.
The perfect place to just sit and breathe J
